Individual Therapy
We are born ready to explore life with an open heart, excitement, curiosity and passion. As we grow older, due to experiences with caregivers, society and culture, we may find ourselves creating layers of defenses that can hide us from our genuine sense of who we are. These defenses can show up as rules, fears and behavior patterns that make it harder for us to fully reconnect with ourselves, others, our sense of power, vulnerability and unique gifts. In therapy I will assist you in learning to listen to yourself in new ways, allowing you to reengage with your whole self once again, so you can access your inherent joy, excitement, curiosity, love and creativity.
Bringing my sensitivity and authentic self into the room, our relationship will be the foundation of your healing process. Working on our relationship opens up new ways of ‘being’ in the world and your relationships. I meet you wherever you are, honoring your wisdom and knowledge of yourself. I listen closely with a lot of curiosity to the spoken and unspoken information that you bring through words, expressions, and body language while supporting you in becoming aware of the underline messages of your life's story.
In my approach I draw from a relational, psychodynamic, somatic, and transpersonal orientation. I work intuitively and experientially, using methods such as dream work, mindfulness exercises and guided imagery.
